Review: The Fear Zone 2 by K.R. Alexander

The clown is back. This time he’s a danger to the whole town.

Title: The Fear Zone 2
Author: K.R. Alexander
Series: The Fear Zone
Number in Series: Book Two
Published: December 29, 2020

The clown is back, and he’s not just after the five who defeated him last time. Now the whole town is seeing their worst fears come to life. He’s stronger than he was before. It’s not just in their heads this time. He can hurt them. Caroline, Deshaun, Kyle, Andres, and April must face down their fears and band together once again to defeat him.

So I found this book to be pretty much on par with the first one. I am generally a fan of the author. The books are meant for kids but I find a lot to enjoy. This one was interesting. It’s about love, friendship, and not letting our fears define who we are.

Like the first one, this book was not on my favorites list by this author. I don’t know what it is about the Fear Zone duology, but I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I wish I did. If you are new to the author, I wouldn’t recommend this as your introduction to these books. I would start with The Collector. It was my first book by Alexander and I loved it.

Meant for a middle-grade audience. I would say about 12+. If your child doesn’t scare easily you could even go younger, like 10. If you or your child have any extreme fears of clowns or snakes, you may want to pass on this book.

3 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐
